#reverb10 - 13 - Lights! Camera! ...Action!

“December 13 – Action. When it comes to aspirations, it’s not about ideas. It’s about making ideas happen. What’s your next step?” (Author: Scott Belsky)

Make a list. Another list. Make a fabulous list. Make a bunch of fabulous lists! I shall start by cleaning my studio. Gather my supplies and get to the business of assembling my next grand list o’ mistakes….er, mistaeks.

This time of year is exhilarating, hectic and can sometimes be overwhelming. I love it though. It spurs me into action; particularly once the Christmas Holiday is done; shredding unneeded documents, emptying the filing cabinet, purging receipts, clearing both my physical and mental space to make room for new ideas, plans, hopes and dreams. For the first time since I can remember I am not looking to “begin anew” but to continue on the path I boldly entered last June when I began to step out of my box. For the first time since I can remember I am looking to continuing with my journey rather than beginning it. I finally planted some seeds and now the next step is to tend to them, weed them, water them and make certain that they receive plenty of sunshine.

Regarding my new born business; the next step is to believe that I have a business and proudly acknowledge it when asked. Another step I need to take is to increase my inventory and promote, promote, promote.

It’s all about baby steps. It’s about taking one moment at a time, one day at a time, and one week at a time. It’s all about moving in a forward motion; to keep trying, skipping and dancing to the music of my own making. It’s about stepping out of the box, even if that’s just once a month. It’s about listing all those dreaded “What ifs” and asking, “Really? What if? What’s the worst that can happen?”

Better yet, “What’s the best that can happen?"
