#reverb–Day 20–Beyond Avoidance

“December 20 – Beyond Avoidance.  What should you have done this year but didn’t because you were too scared, worried, unsure, busy or otherwise deterred from doing? (Bonus: Will you do it?)”
(Author: Jake Nickell)

Wow! Here I am. Day 20 and it’s December 20th! How cool is that? Let me tell you…

It’s waaayyyy cool.

What should I have done? I do not care what I should have done. Okay, that’s a lie. I care that I didn’t lose m’ excess weight, but hey! I did do several things that I should have done two years ago, so we’re feeling quite accomplished at the end of this year.

That’s waaayyy cool too!

Typically at this time of year I’m filled with regret, regret, and more regrets; berating myself for all the things I didn’t do. I have to be honest with myself. I should have lost weight and I should have quit smoking. I have along list of reasons….er,…excuses as to why I didn’t. But here at the end of 2010 I’m feeling quite proud of myself for taking some out-of-the-box steps. Instead of dreading those nasty resolutions because I just know I’ll fail…I’m feeling capable and positive looking at all I’ve really done this year. I just want to keep the ball rolling along during 2011 and accomplish even more.

I think I’m on the right path.
